Since we have a month to go before school is over, I decided to clean out my desk to try to get rid of things I don't need. In doing so, I discovered 22 rolls of undeveloped film that I've shot over the past year. I always keep buying more film but never getting anything developed. SO I get a nice paycheck on friday and I'm going to go get maybe 8 or so rolls developed.
I also found two light up yo-yos, a fake rubber snake, a bag full of shells from the beach, three coloring books, two puzzles, and a million things I thought I'd lost.

Stress
In exactly 28 days I will be completing my second year of studies at my university. In the next 28 days I have 4 more tests, 3 more papers and one final exam separating me from summer. I will also be leaving the country for 14 months in 38 days. Each day that passes, I get more and more anxious and nervous and I almost can't believe that this is happening. Ever since I started learning french I have wanted to go to Europe, and I've wanted to go back to Germany just because I feel like I have some connection there since it's where I was born, although I don't remember very much. I bought my plane ticket to Munich a week ago. I'm sorry, I just, have been waiting for this for so long no words I use could accurately describe this. I'm sad to be leaving my friends because I've made some great ones this year and I'm gonna miss them all like crazy while i'm gone.
So I guess what I'm saying is I'm under a lot of stress right now, trying to fit everything into the next month that I need to get done before I leave. I need to visit relatives and hang out with friends and go to appointments and finish this semester off on a good note. I'm going to make the most of the next 4 weeks and then I will be overseas living my dream.

OKAY! BLOGGING! FINALLY!
I have been traveling so much and have had little time to post. I left thursday last week to start my spring break. I first went to Charlottesville, Virginia to meet friends and I had a wonderful time! the last day i was there I woke up to snow and it was the most wonderful thing I have ever seen. I felt like a little kid on christmas morning. I went to a lot of cool places and met some really amazing people and took a ton of photos. needless to say, I forgot the charger for my d40 and right as I was pulling out of the station my battery died and i am now using film the rest of this trip. So I am absolutely in love with NYC. I'm staying with people I met through couch surfing and they are really awesome and they are having a party on friday since I'm leaving the next day. I have been to the city two days in a row now, seeing all these amazing places, such as Washington Square Park, the MET, RIDING THE SUBWAY!!!!!!!!!, eating at cool local restaurants, going to St. Marks, ect. tons and tons of things! I will be making a giant photo post when I get all my film developed once I get back to dumb old Florida.
(Also about the title! One of the subway stops I take to get off in Queens where I'm staying is Sutphin Blvd)

Cleanse
Lately, I have been doing some reevaluations in my life. I am very overwhelmed about everything that will be happening this year. This year I wanted to start fresh and be more aware of my surroundings and enjoy all of the good things that come my way. I'm not going to lie, but I spend a lot of time on the computer. It distracts me a lot from my work and i definitely plan on spending a lot less time online in the months to come. I also decided to delete my facebook for various reasons. It's not like I hate people, it's that some people who i was "friends" with on facebook were not my actual friends. I want people to put in effort into wanting to see me or do things. I feel that personal contact in my life has diminished a lot and I'm trying to change that. I'm also trying to get people out of my life who either don't appreciate me or take advantage of me. I'm cleansing my life.
I have, within the past two years, changed more dramatically than I could have ever expected. I had been looking through old photos of me and my friends from high school and literally did not recognize the person there with my face. I dont even know how to say all this without being completely straight forward. I've changed inside and out. I lost (roughly) 70 pounds from the time I started college until now. I hadn't been checking my weight frequently, but i decided to last week for the hell of it. I have not been this small since I was about 14, and even then, the jeans i wore at that age are now loose on me. I don't want to be completely overjoyed by this because I still want to be at a healthier weight, but god damn, when you get to the point where you can actually see a change it feels amazing. And I've noticed since I became a vegetarian at the beginning of this year, I feel ten times better. I didn't just stop eating meat, I picked up eating healthier foods. I haven't eaten anything processed in a month and have been eating mostly fruits and vegetables and whole grains, and trying out new recipes and discovering new foods I never even knew existed.
And I'm finally living my biggest dream to live in France and travel around Europe this May. I'm going to be an au pair and live with a family for around 3 months and then start classes at the Université de Lyon. There's a handful of people who have been extremely supportive and inspired me and I just want to give them all big hugs and tell them how much they mean to me, but I'm going to give myself some more time because I want to do something nice for each of them. Well, if you read this or follow my blog at all (looking at my follower count it doesn't seem like too many), thank you and I hope you stick around for all of the adventures that are coming my way.
